SHADE--Plug,plug...

I am officially a Personal Shopper for Shade Clothing! I'll tell you what this means. It means that I am an independent sales contractor and sell clothing for a company that promotes modesty. This is how it works: people host Shade Showcases in their homes and invite all of their friends. I bring my Shade samples in every size and style (okay, not quite every style) for them to try on so that they can see and find the perfect size, color and fit. (It is also possible for me to mail you a sample kit so really I don't even have to be there!) Honestly, I do this for myself because I love this product so much!

People can also use my Shade Personal Shopper Code (PS220) online at www.shadeclothing.com and recieve a 10% discount on their first order and 5% everytime thereafter. It is better for both of us if you place an order directly through me (shaunalee.porter@shadeclothing.net) because you will get a 5% discount AND a discounted shipping rate.

Here are two of my favorite products (besides the layering basices) from the spring line: the Balboa Swim Top and the Crochet Trimmed Camisole. http://www.shadeclothing.com/Product/Womens/Modest/New_Styles/Balboa_Swim_Top

Anyway, I'll be in Arizona from June 16th-July 7th, so if you're interested in hosting a Showcase and earn free clothes, just let me know. You will be so glad you did! shaunalee.porter@shadeclothing.net

That Thing Keagan Does

Things I LOVE about Keagan:
  1. Keagan made me a mother on Mother's Day.  Who can say that?
  2. He is the most beautiful boy. Other than his unusually large head (read: smart) his features are so well proportioned. I was told countlessly that he WAS the Gerber baby and now I'm frequently told that he looks like the Campbell Soup boy. He is handsome--watch out for your girls!
  3. His disposition is so sweet and mild. I find him rocking his little pals to sleep constantly....Don't get me wrong...
  4. He is all boy! He loves to wrestle his papa, and for his birthday all he wanted was a baseball glove so that he could "play ball with the guys." He always has some kind of motor vehicle in his hand--unless he's toting around one of his toy sharks or stingrays.
  5. He is very intelligent. Unusually so. Keagan soaks in everything. YES. EVERYTHING. Nothing gets by him. He brings up random subjects that I might have briefly discussed with him months ago. When you talk to him you can just see his little brain working. I love to just observe him problem solving....he's so cute. He loves, LOVES puzzles.
  6. He has an amazing memory. Once when he was less than 2 we stayed for two days at someones home in Anchorage. They happened to have a bear rug that Keagan loved to touch. Two and a half months later we pulled up to the house...and he pointed to the house and said "Bear."
  7. He is a fireball. Keagan never runs out of energy. He is so happy all of the time and loves to run and jump, especially off of furniture. He love to climb anything which worries me because I think he's getting a little TOO confident.
  8. He is not afraid of people and is very polite. (I am so happy about this because I have always been shy). On Wednesday's Beau takes Keagan to play Basketball and when Beau rotates out they play together, but when Beau is in the game Keagan just sits completely still and watches the game run back and forth on the court. Apparently last week he told a complete stranger his life story.
  9. He is an artist. Lately when he's been painting he paints the entire page until there is no white left. He has very fine fine motor skills.
  10. He still loves to snuggle with us. Although he just turned three he still loves to snuggle.
  11. He is patient with me even when I am not so patient with him. His is very forgiving.
  12. He is a great big brother, (although lately he has been the Toy Patrol), he is very loving with Kaleb.
  13. He makes me want to be the very best person that I can be. Knowing that he absorbs everything: the environment, the experiences, the atmosphere, etc. makes me want to do the very best that I can to make his world the best it can be. (Don't get me wrong, I seriously struggle with this, but I'm trying.)
  14. Keagan made me realize how tender my husband really is. On our second or third date something happened and I saw a glimpse of the father that Beau would be and that's when I decided that I wanted to marry him. Keagan brings out the best in Beau.
Happy Birthday Little Man!

Raising the Roof on Keagan's Reef

Keagan's birthday was just the other day so we had a little shark party for him. It was a lot of fun. Most of the kids wore their swimsuits. After it was all over I realized that the party was just as much for me as it was for him. I needed so badly to "create" something. (I obviously need to find a new outlet for my creativity. ) I'm pretty sure Keagan had a great time. There were about 12 kids there not including mothers and infants so it was pretty chaotic, but we still had a "bubbling" good time.

No, no, no...

I feel like I need to make something very clear. These were just lucky shots. Yep, I was just in the right place at the right time with a camera worth more than my life....but they're still cool.

"...Now tell me what you see..."

I took this picture the other day out of my bedroom window and I thought I'd share it with you all. I didn't have time to adjust the lighting on my camera, but now I'm glad I didn't. I really love it, but my only wish was that I could see the eagles beak more perfectly.
